System Integration

We often encounter a situation where a client needs various applications to manage his business, but each one of them was created separately and usually at a different times. It is also common that each application was developed by a different vendor. Over time, however, the need to unify the original applications and offer to employees and customers a single system that will include the full range of original individual functions arose. An example might be a new section for customers on your website or a new intranet for your employees. Nevertheless, even in this situation it is not desirable to start the application development from scratch and raise the cost of the project (unless absolutely necessary).

A typical requirement is the necessity to unify the logging into applications under a common system of authentication, authorization, and user management including their rights. The demand to suppress the need for manual work is also very common. The data transfer between applications before their unification and optimization is usually processed only through the every day work of some employees which is a totally inefficient system.

It is possible to deal with all of these requirements. For example, for user logon it is possible to build a similar system that Google uses for its applications (single sign-on), which may be then connected to your MS Active Directory, or other internal system.

It is also possible to design and develop an integration layer, i.e. an application that will (simply put) ensure the synchronization of data from other systems. Existing applications will not often be completely overwritten, but  they can be connected (gradually or at once) to the emerging ecosystem.
